That’s a quote from Carl Jung, a great psychologist who unfortunately never got to use Ruby. Ruby is a wonderful tool for creative programmers, and there’s no better way see how much fun Ruby can be than to use it to write games. With RubyCocoa, those games can be beautiful OS X applications.

If you work along with this article, you’ll build a simple Ruby implementation of Atari’s arcade classic Asteroids. There’s a lot that will be left for you to customize, but if you’re an experienced Ruby programmer, you know that making those customizations with Ruby is as fun and satisfying as acing a level in any videogame. And if you’re new to Ruby, you’re about to have a really good time.
