Objective-C Pocket Reference

by Andrew Duncan

The best way to get started with Objective-C is to get a copy of this little book and read it cover to cover. At 122 pages, it will take an afternoon, but the completeness and brevity of this book will deepen your appreciation of Objective-C, especially if you’ve been working in C++ or Java. You’ll also find that it’s an easy-to-use reference when you need help recalling forgotten details. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have an index.

You’ll also want to check out Andrew Duncan’s article about Objective-C on O’Reilly’s web site.

This is an amazing book, reminding me of when O’Reilly was at its peak.

It’s deep, concise, informative, doesn’t repeat information that is more easily found online, and astoundingly cheap.
